DTF Artwork Specifications
We make artwork preparation simple.
Work in CMYK Color Mode
CMYK is the standard color format used for print. If your file is in RGB, it will be converted, which can cause colors to look different.
Make Sure Small Details are Visible
To ensure all details print clearly, make sure any fine lines or small elements are at least 0.2mm thick so nothing gets lost in the print.
Keep Designs Fully Opaque
Semi-transparent effects like shadows or glows need to be surrounded by solid shapes with hard edges, so they print properly without any fading.
Turn Text into Shapes
If text in your file remains editable, it may not print correctly. Convert all text into shapes or outlines to guarantee it prints as expected.
Embed Images
Linked images may not print if they're missing. To avoid this, embed images directly in your file, or save it as a PDF using high-quality print settings.
Remove Spot Colors
Spot colors may print incorrectly, resulting in the wrong color. Only use Pantone Solid Coated colors for your file, and convert any colors to CMYK if using SupaDTF.
Expand Pattern Fills
If you're using pattern fills, expand them before submitting your file, so nothing shifts during the printing process.
Use Transparent Backgrounds
If your file has a transparent background, save it as a PNG or PSD to ensure transparency remains in the final print. Avoid using JPG if transparency is needed.
High Resolution for Clear Prints
For sharp, detailed prints, make sure your file has at least 300 PPI (pixels per inch). For best results, set your document to 800 PPI before starting your design.
Supported File Formats
We accept the following file types for vector and raster images:
Vector: AI, EPS, PDF
Raster: PSD, PNG, JPG
